in 1850 when it was in Haehnel's possession.
The terracotta

is in the
Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas
and does not have a foot.
This model was last in the possession of Edward Halprin, Vancouver, Canada, in 1972. The bronze is now in a private collection in the USA, Early Photographs of the teracotta model in 1876 show the model with a foot. The statue must have broke and the foot lost after 1876. |
